What is DeafThrive Day? 

  • DeafThrive Day is an annual family friendly festival that brings the Deaf community together to celebrate Deaf Culture, and to show Seattle that we are happy, healthy, and thriving! This is our fifth year hosting the festival. We hope to see you there. 

When is the event?

  • DeafThrive Day will happen on SATURDAY, September 9, 2023 from 1-6 pm. 

Where is the event? 

  • The event will be at Magnuson Park, Hangar 30, 6310 NE 74th St, Seattle, WA 98115. 

 

How long is the event? 

  • The event will be 5 hours long from 1 pm to 6 pm. 

Are there any activities for youth? 

  • Yes, we will have FUN and creative activities for youth to participate!  

Are there any performances? 

  • Yes, we will feature two talents: Harmony Baniaga and Irvine Stewart! 

Where can I register for Cornhole Tourney? 

 

I am Deaf-Blind, and I would like to attend! 

  • For SSP and/or Deafblind interpreting requests, email ssp@seattledbsc.org by September 1, 2023.

Is the event children-friendly? 

  • Yes, this event is child-friendly and deaf-friendly, too. 

Is this event free? 

  • YES, and open to public. Food and dessert will be provided, too! 


Is there any sponsorship options for my company to support DeafThrive? 

  • Yes, we offer two options: table booth and/or event sponsorship. Please email deafthrive@gmail.com

 

Where can I park my vehicle?

  • We always encourage you to use the environment-friendly options: public transportation and carpooling.  

  • There are free parking spots in a nearby parking lot / around the venue.

Who is hosting the event?

  • A core committee of Deaf community members and organizations: ADWAS, Deaf Spotlight, HSDC, PSAD, WAGUAA, and WSAD. 


Will there be food?

  • Yes, we will provide FREE food and dessert. Please bring your own non-alcoholic drinks.
